Sulu to officially open Hwenje’s Bar

TRIPLE Nama award winner Suluman Chimbetu will officially open Hwenje’s Entertainment Centre with a gig this Saturday.
Hwenje’s Entertainment Centre, situated in Glen Norah B, will open its doors to the public after undergoing renovations since November last year. As has become the norm, Sulu is
expected to leave fans spellbound with his “Batai Munhu” dance which
has become popular at live shows.
The dendera heir is expected to open the joint in style belting out hit tracks, “Sean Timba” and “Nhambarakishoni”, which has seen him soaring to an all-time high in recent months. Like wine, Sulu is also getting better with age and has become one of Zimbabwe’s most sought-after entertainers. Joint owner Petros Chigodora said the renovations were part of Hwenje’s efforts to cater for the needs of its growing clientele.

“While we are based in Glen Norah, our clientele has grown and we have managed to attract people from surrounding areas like Waterfalls, Belvedere and even Westgate, who patronise the joint.

“We have also realised that they do have different tastes, hence our decision to move our brand a step further and cater for this niche market,” he said.
The entertainment centre, which boasts a VIP bar, braai area and a spacious open space for hosting live shows, is now bigger following extensive renovations that were done on the previous joint.

Sports and music lovers and other revellers can now enjoy their beer and other beverages in serene ambience and far away from the madding crowds.
Apart from a VIP bar to cater for the discerning imbibers, people can still enjoy themselves in the main bar, while watching live soccer screenings from several state-of-the-art plasma television sets that are dotted across the large bar.

The main entertainment arena, which is secured by a high security wall, also boasts a stage that musicians and other artistes will be using during live engagements.
