Harare mans shock : 4 year lover married

A married man is angry after he discovered that his lover of four years was, in fact, married.

Obey Chiwara and Tsitsi Dahwa-Tengende have been lovers for four years and Obey thought all along that she was single. A check on Tsitsi's phone showed one number which kept popping up. He called it and was answered by her husband, Kenneth Tengende.
"We met sometime in 2009 and she told me that she was divorced. I told her that I was married and she said she had no problem with it. She added that she wanted to settle down with someone who has experience of marriage life. I even met her mother and relatives and went to their rural home inMhondoro several times and I even introduced her to my family in Murehwa. I wanted to take her as my second wife and my wife had agreed to it," he said.

"I have been seeing a certain number in her phone but she could not explain it. On this day I called the number and a male voice answered and he said he was the legitimate husband and I locked her up and called the husband but by the time he arrived she had escaped," he said.

The husband, Kenneth Tengende said that he had been advised by the police not to say much. He revealed that Tsitsi was not yet at home and she is still with her aunt. Kenneth added that he had seen the raunchy pictures of his wife in Chiwara's arms and he was hurt.

"I know of the incident but we have discussed it. Talks are still in progress and it's up to me to decide way forward. She is still staying with her aunt and we are still in dialogue over the matter. I'm not supposed to say much as we were advised by the police not to talk about it," he said.

Kenneth accused Chiwara of trying to wreck his marriage. "This man is a problem and all he is doing is to destroy."

Meanwhile, Tsitsi has filed for peace order against Chiwara. In her founding affidavit of the matter to be heard at the Harare Civil Court on 20 December, Tsitsi confirmed having an adulterous relationship with Chiwara. She claimed that she met him in 2010 and they had since parted ways and he was disturbing her peace
