A 19-year-old girl in China identified as Cao Mengyuan, posted an advertisement online to sell ‘herself’ in return for money which she intends to use as her ill mother's medical treatment.

Cao posted the advertisement titled '(I am) selling myself' on WeChat, where she disclosed in a post that the treatment would cost around 350,000 Yuan (£41,000), but whoever offered the highest price would win the right to 'use her body at will'.

According to MailOnline, a 'generous boss' had responded to Cao’s advertisement and agreed to help her cover her mother's medical bills, however, what the man intends to do with Cao is still largely unknown.

Coa is quoted as to have disclosed through her post online, that her mother is 45 years old and had been a farmer all her life. She also said that her mother had been diagnosed with skin cancer recently and had been admitted into the Gaozhou People's Hospital for almost a week, adding that her mother's health was deteriorating and serious infection had started developing on her right thigh.

She also said that to treat her mother's illness, they would need about 350,000 Yuan (£41,604), which her family can not afford and her sick mother who does not have medical insurance for free access to treatment can not afford also.

Cao is quoted to have written at the end of her post online;
'Everything I said is true. I will sell myself to the highest bidder!'

A married primary school teacher in Mhondoro is ruing the night he had se_x in the car with his ‘on off’ girlfriend after she fell pregnant and demanded that they move in together. Munashe Mukonzi, 33, confirmed his illicit affair with Patience Marira, 30, who later fell pregnant after a bout of unprotected se_x.

The matter was heard before Chief Mashayamombe who ruled that Mukonzi’s TOYOTA Noah vehicle and property at his apartment at Kawara primary school be impounded after he failed to attend the hearing. Narrating his ordeal, Munashe felt justice was not delivered as the chief ordered for the seizure of his belongings for his own use.

“We had always had an ‘on-off’ relationship with Patience,” he said. “We officially broke up this year and while we were trying to mend the affair, we had se_x in my car and she fell pregnant. I never denied the fact that the baby was mine but because we were no longer together, I ignored her when she requested for preparation money from me. She even came to stay with me and my wife twice but the situation was too tense for her that she decided to go back home where her family decided to report me to the chief and the police”.

The Mushiriwindi family (Patience’s family) is said to have accused Munashe of rape and they demanded $3000 as damage through the police. Munashe said he failed to attend the chief’s trial due to a relative’s funeral which resulted in the latter sending men to seize his property.

“I could not attend the trial because of a funeral in Zaka and I even communicated with the chief but surprisingly in three days I received a summon from him which I did not respond to as well. In a few days, he sent three men to collect my property, humiliating me in front of my workmates. While they were tussling with me, they got hold of my car keys and took away my car,” he said. He added that he went to the chief’s premises twice and found out that his car was being used.

“Neighbours told me that my car was being used as a private taxi around there. The chief denied it sanctioning the move claiming that he had left his wife to take care of the car. At one point, I went there and I could not find my car but when I called the chief’s wife she did not answer and even switched off her phone,” Munashe said.

Patience on the other hand said she had nothing to do with the seizure of Munashe’s car and all she wanted was child support. “The only thing I regret is having an affair with that man because he has used so many ladies so far while neglecting his wife and children. It’s true that his car was being used in his absence but I had nothing to do with it. All I wanted was money for food and preparation because I am carrying his baby,” she said. Contacted for comment, chief Mashayamombe said Munashe was only trying to tarnish his image.

“That man is an unusual character indeed, he refused to show up at trial but still went on to take the issue to his lawyers for no apparent reason. The law forbids me to give a judgment that is over $1000 and I only wanted him to show up so that we discuss the issue fairly but he went on to report me to the police. The fact that he dumped Patience and he is not innocent at all but wants to appear like so,” said the Chief.

Asked why he abused Munashe’s car, Chief Mashayamombe said,”I never used his car, I am not aware of that since I was not around during the said period”.

The opposition MDC-T has reportedly rejected moves to go into a coalition to be led by ZimPF leader, Joice Mujuru, saying they prefer their own leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, NewsDay has learnt.

MDC-T insiders this week said the party has been holding “provincial assemblies” to gauge the mood ahead of a possible coalition.

“We have been holding provincial assemblies across the country and the feedback has been emphatic. The party should only go into a coalition that will be led by Tsvangirai. Anything else will be a hard-sell,” a top MDC-T source said.

The MDC-T structures, it is understood, have told the party leadership that Mujuru would be a “non-starter”.

“The verdict is clear: Mujuru will not do. If she wants, she should join Tsvangirai rather than the other way round. These are personality problems and our structures feel, in Tsvangirai, they have the best option in the opposition. If anything, they would want us to go it alone.

“But it is a dangerous situation because dividing the vote will give Zanu PF a false victory. Nobody wants that, so something will have to give,” another source said.
Party spokesperson Obert, Gutu, while indicating issues of coalitions were Tsvangirai’s forte, said the ongoing consultations show the growth of democracy in the MDC-T.

“Internal party deliberations remain part of our fabric as a democratic party. We continue to subject our issues to internal debate. Consultations are ongoing, but we have a standing policy that gives the president (Tsvangirai) the prerogative to speak on issues of coalitions,” he said.

Tsvangirai’s spokesperson, Luke Tamborinyoka said he was not aware of any consultations being conducted by the party.

“The party has tasked the president to deal with all issues related to coalitions and engagements. I am not aware of any consultations the party is undertaking because the president has been given latitude to deal with those issues,” he said.

ZimPF spokesperson, Jealousy Mawarire said his party would deal with the MDC-T leadership “and not individual members and their feelings.”

“The decision on who will lead the coalition will be made by the leadership of the different political parties that are going to make the coalition.

“It would be futile for us to be swayed by the individual preferences of party members. Those are for political parties to deal with and it is the duty of the leadership to convince their supporters that they will go into the coalition negotiations with an open mind. ZimPF will deal with the MDC-T leadership and not its individual members’ preferences because if we do that, we will never reach a consensus,” he said.

Calls for an opposition coalition continue to grow and Mujuru’s entrance into the opposition ranks has given hope to politics-weary Zimbabweans ahead of 2018.

THE Labour Court has confirmed the dismissal of a Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) senior manager who was caught peeping into girls’ hostels at the University of Zimbabwe (UZ).

In a ruling that re-affirmed the right of employers to discipline staff for misconduct committed away from duty, the Labour Court dismissed an appeal by former ZIMRA investigations manager, Andrew Shangu, who was fired following an incident in which he was arrested at the UZ and taken to Avondale Police Station where he paid an admission of guilt fine.

The tax collector took Shangu’s infraction so seriously that it instituted disciplinary proceedings that led to his dismissal.

After the harsh verdict, Shangu appealed to the ZIMRA appeals committee, which also endorsed his dismissal.

This resulted in him taking his case to the Labour Court where the appeal was thrown out for lack of merit.

Although admitting that indeed he was caught ogling into female students while they were in their hostels, Shangu based his challenge on the argument that he was charged with a wrong offence.

He said the offence did not fall into a serious category (class D), but a lighter one in category C.

He said it was wrong for ZIMRA to charge him with putting the organisation into disrepute, but that he should have been charged with conduct likely to put the organisation into disrepute.

ZIMRA argued that as someone who was known as its manager, Shangu — who had a previous conviction for another serious misconduct for which he was on final warning — had actually put the organisation into disrepute.

“The fact that he (Shangu) is of the view that he should have been charged with a group C offence with a lesser exacting penalty does not assist him in any way,” ruled Labour Court judge, Justice Lillian Kudya.

“It is patently clear that the appellant’s act of peeping into female hostels at the University of Zimbabwe did put his employer’s reputation into disrepute and was clearly inconsistent with his work conditions. The court is satisfied that this appeal ground has no merit at all and it should fail,” she added.

Shangu had also challenged the procedure under which his disciplinary hearing was conducted, arguing that most of the facts were based on hearsay. The court, however, refused to entertain him because he had not denied the charge during the hearing and had even admitted it to the police.

“The law is clear that where the employer takes a serious view of the employee’s infraction no amount of mitigation may stand on the way of a dismissal penalty. In the case at hand, the appellant’s conduct severely dented the respondent’s image and no amount of mitigation could save the appellant.

“Whether the previous conviction was outdated or relevant could not shift the scales to a none dismissible penalty. There is nothing in the findings of all the tribunals below, which demonstrates abuse of discretion as the penalty in the case at hand. This appeal court therefore has no basis to interfere with the penalty meted out in this case. This ground also lacking in merit should fail,” Kudya said.

Harare magistrate Arnold Maburo yesterday issued warrants of arrest for three anti-government protesters who failed to turn up for trial over a robbery case involving Patson Dzamara.Dr Patson

Dzamara is jointly charged with Oliver Chikumba, 32, Tatenda Mombeyarara, 33, Pride Mukono, 26, and Makomborero Haruzivishe, 33, on two counts of robbery and defeating the course of justice.

They were arrested in June while protesting against President Robert Mugabe’s regime at Africa Unity Square before the State preferred the mentioned charges against them.

However, at the commencement of trial yesterday Chikumba, Mukono and Haruzivishe were not present.

Prosecutor Desire Chidanire then applied for warrants of arrest which were granted by the court.

“Chikumba is in South Africa and failed to get time off work while the other two accused persons are locked up in Mutare cells for another pending case,” the group’s lawyer Obey Shava explained.

The case was deferred to October 10 for continuation.

According to State papers, on June 9 at around midnight, the two complainants disembarked from a commuter omnibus at Fourth Street bus terminus.

They passed through Africa Unity Square on their way to Copacabana bus terminus to get transport to Mufakose.

Dzamara and his accomplices allegedly confronted the complainants and snatched their handbags before searching them.

They allegedly stole three school uniforms, a red jersey, a pair of trousers, a jean skirt and a wallet containing $30.

The other complainant lost three school jerseys and one floral dress.

When the complainants screamed for help, three police officers, who were on duty near Parliament, rushed to the scene.

The accused persons resisted arrest and took away constable Nhidza’s cap and baton while dragging him to a silver Honda Fit along Jason Moyo Avenue.

Dzamara and his accomplices were later arrested and police recovered the stolen property, valued at $80.

A report by Daily Mail has revealed chilling details about the brutal and fearsome dictator of Equatorial Guinea who rules his country with an iron-fist and allegedly skins enemies alive and eats their testicles and livers.

At 74, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, is Africa’s longest serving leader having been in power since 1979.

Known as “torturer-in-chief”, his rise to power saw him overthrow his uncle – Francisco Macias N’Guema – taking revenge after the ruler had his family murdered.

Since taking power, those who politically opposed him have been subjected to torture and oppression.

Those who make the claims say that he believes by eating his political opponents, his sexual prowess is boosted.

GOD-LIKE POWERS

Severo Moto, a political rival of Nguema, said in a 2004 interview with Spanish radio: “He has just devoured a police commissioner.

“I say devoured because this commissioner was buried without the testicles and the brain.”

Nguema is also said to have skinned opponents alive and has eaten their brains.

But as he remained in power for so long, he is said to increasingly believe himself to have God-like powers.

One of his former advisors has said of Nguema:

“He can decide to kill without anyone calling him to account and without going to hell because it is God himself, with whom he is in permanent contact and who gives him this strength.”

His son, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, 46, who serves as a vice president, would be his natural successor.

Ebonee Lynn and Tarie Geraldine Hicks
That makes them the first black lesbian couple to have triplets in Newfoundland and Labrador, and possibly all of Canada.

The Hicks triplets were born in St. John’s at 30 weeks and six days — early even for triplets, who generally have a 36-week gestation period.

Tarie, a full-time student at the Centre for Nursing Studies, said they’re all doing well in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit).

“They’re doing pretty good, but the smallest of the bunch, who was born 2.7 pounds, is actually the one that’s doing the best. She’s off her CPAP (breathing device), so she’s breathing on her own and is getting her nutrition,” she said.

“The other two have been weaned off oxygen, so they’re just on CPAPs to help them a little bit, but other than that, there’s no other concerns that the doctors can see.”

Amina Nyasha was the first to arrive at 2:06 a.m., weighing 2.7 pounds. Lila Maita was born three minutes later, weighing 2.9 pounds, followed by Nolan Rufaro, weighing 3.5 pounds, a minute later.

The mothers, who have two older sons aged 13 and nine, did some research when naming the babies, rather than naming them after people.

“We wanted names that mean something. So we just researched in that way. … Amina means ‘faith,’ Lila means ‘beauty’ and Nolan means ‘champion,’” Tarie said.

“The other middle names are Shona, because I’m from Zimbabwe and my wife is from the States, so we decided to make the middle names from my country. So Amina, her middle name, Nyasha, is ‘grace.’

“We wanted something that says grace, but we didn’t want plain old Grace (laughs). For Lila, Maita means ‘grateful’ or ‘thankful,’ and then for Nolan, his middle name, Rufaro, is ‘happiness.’”

Tarie remembers finding out on Feb. 18 that she and her wife would be having triplets. She said two eggs were fertilized, and one split, meaning they have one set of identical twins and one singleton — a rare pregnancy.

“I was ecstatic,” she said, laughing, “but Ebonee was freaked out, to say the least. She was very, very, very upset.”

Tarie said the pregnancy was great. Ebonee was active and healthy until she was put on bed rest at 24 weeks, and she went on medical leave at 26 weeks.

“I had stop working at the same time, because my private client I was taking (care of) passed away. But Ebonee being on medical leave, complete bed rest, made it impossible anyway for me to work, as we have two sons that needed a parent’s care,” Tarie wrote.

Sunday afternoon, Tarie said Ebonee, who had a C-section birth, was recovering well.

“She just got discharged today, so we’re just hanging out at the NICU, and because both of us are breastfeeding, that’s it. We’re just hanging out and pumping milk. That’s the joys of our days these days,” she said, laughing.

“We knew it was going to be a lot from the word ‘go,’ so our doctors that we’ve been working with, they had me on two different medications — one was to kind of fool my body into thinking that I’m pregnant, and then the other one was for the hormones to initiate lactation.”

The Hicks family expects the triplets to be in NICU for another month or so before joining them at home. In the meantime, the couple invites people to follow them on their Facebook page, The Hicks HIVE, where they post updates on the family. They say support from the community is greatly appreciated.

A district intelligence officer, Mbereki Mbizo Nyathi, on Monday appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Court together with an Indian national, Abdul Ismael, charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

The two suspects were not asked to plead when they appeared before Harare provincial magistrate Vakai Douglas Chikwekwe, who remanded them in custody to today for their bail application.

From left: District intelligence officer, Mbereki Mbizo Nyathi, lawyer, Oliver Marwa, Indian national, Abdul Ishmael and a police detective at the Harare Magistrates’ Court yesterday

Allegations against the two are that sometime in January 2015, they acted in common purpose and connived to steal a BMW 320D vehicle in South Africa. They allegedly acted in cahoots with Hillary Nduna, who is still at large, and a syndicate based in South Africa.

The State alleges when the vehicle was stolen, Nyathi (44) and Ishmael (30) brought it to Zimbabwe, where the latter fraudulently obtained registration book with number ADU 6982, from the Central Vehicle Registry (CVR).

The State further alleges after fraudulently registering the motor vehicle, Ishmael took the car to Nyathi’s residence for safekeeping, taking advantage of his position as a senior State security agent.

After receiving the car, Nyathi allegedly started using it.

In the court papers submitted to the magistrate, the Prosecutor-General’s (PG) Office said: “The Central Vehicle Registry has confirmed that the registration of the motor vehicle was fraudulently done and obtained a registration book of a BMW 320D, which was stolen from South Africa in order to evade payment of duty to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra).”

And in its reasons for opposing bail, the PG’s Office said Ishmael was not gainfully employed and that he was likely to flee the jurisdiction of the courts if granted bail.

The State further said Nyathi was not a proper candidate for bail, since he was likely to interfere with evidence or witnesses because one witness was his best friend.

The State also said the two suspects are well-connected to the CVR, where they obtained the fraudulent vehicle registration book, and, if granted bail there was likelihood they would interfere with witnesses.

Senior prosecutor, Michael Reza appeared for the State, while Oliver Marwa represented the two suspects.

Gringo says comedy skits now flooding social media are amateurish. “Those are just people trying to market themselves but they are missing it by failing to engage experienced comedians in order to improve on the art and as a result, what they do ceases to be comedy,” he said.

Some comedians like Marabha and Baba Tencen have risen to prominence and raked in thousands of followers through physical features like tooth gaps but Gringo believes this is a sign of mediocrity.

Referring to the features as “natural disasters”, he slammed flaunting of physical deformities by jesters to gain artistic mileage as myopic conduct unworthy to be termed comedy. “Those are natural disasters and hayisiyo inoita kuti munhu aite [that’s not what makes one a] comedian. Comedy is an inherent art, that is why
even some who go to school to learn about it have failed,” he added while explaining that funny characters were usually directed by a well-defined script.

Meanwhile, Gringo’s once flourishing career has lost its glint, and he blames the misfortunes on lack of proper structures to enhance talents.

“As artists, we have no substantive organisations and a strong ministry which supports our work because usually the leaders of such are not artists, hence they do not understand our struggles,” he said while suggesting veterans like Aaron Chiundura Moyo would do way better.
